DESCRIPTION:
The COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge to the population of the entire planet. In addition to treating severe somatic conditions (pneumonia, multiple organ failure, etc.), clinicians in all countries have encountered an increase in mental disorders. This applies both to the aggravation of existing pathology, and the appearance of new, mainly stressful and depressive states in previously mentally healthy people. WHO reports an increase of mental disorders among women subjected to domestic violence. The number of calls on domestic violence hotlines has significantly increased. The situation is identical in Russia. The deterioration of mental health, especially in women, is out of sight of doctors as they respond to the pandemic. Thats why it is necessary not only to evaluate organizational measures aimed at combating the spread of COVID-19, analyze restrictive measures and treatment process, but also to learn the prophylaxis of mental disorders in women-victims of domestic violence during self-isolation.
