DESCRIPTION:
The COVID-19 pandemic was a hard burden for both healthcare and economics, thus understanding its cause and forming prevention strategies is crucial for the future.

The talk will present a trustworthy scientific analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on brain disorders and will provide the tactics and strategy of management of patients with different levels of disability and will equip physicians with knowledge and instruments to increase resilience to COVID-like infections and neuropsychiatric disorders.

KEY SPEAKERS:
Professor Alexey Danilov, M.D. (Moscow, Russia) is a Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases at the Institute of Postgraduate Education at Sechenov University, Director of Interdisciplinary Medicine Institute, a Board Member of the International Academy for Design and Health. His key areas of interest: Preventive Neurology, Stress Management, Cognitive Health, Pain Management, Environmental Health. Conflict of Interests Declaration.

 

His presentation will provide scientific analysis of the influence of COVID-19 on the nervous system, describe neurological manifestations and complications associated with COVID-19, and present recommendations on the management of neurological disorders in pandemic and post-pandemic periods.

Professor Paul Barach, MD, MPH (Detroit, USA) is a Clinical Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Public Health physician-scientist, Lecturer and Senior Advisor to the Dean, Jefferson College of Population Health, Senior advisor to CMO, Stavanger University Hospital in Norway, and Visiting Professor at the National Cancer Center in Seoul, Korea. He trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Paul is an elected member of the lead honorary society the Association of University Anesthesiologists, USA. Prof. Barach will review the causes that lead to the increase of neuropsychiatric disorders and present insights and best ways to implement strategies to combat stress and burnout among doctors and patients and reduce vulnerability to coronavirus and other infections.
