The main focus of the webinar is to inform the clinicians dealing with cardiovascular complications during COVID-19 on management and diagnosis of such complications, making a special emphasis on clear differentiation of acute and chronic cases during the pandemic. While the chronic cases can be deferred, the acute cases must be treated immediately. Participants will be introduced to the newest guidelines and the most recent information on COVID-19 published in medical peer-reviewed journals, as well as learn the existing Russian experience in endovascular management of cardiovascular diseases in patients with COVID-19. The webinar is designed to provide evidence-based medical insights to all the specialists dealing with the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in patients with COVID-19.

Prof. Andrejs Erglis, M.D. (Riga, Latvia), co-chairman of the webinar is a Vice-President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences and a Chief of the Latvian Centre of Cardiology at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. Within his presentation, he will discuss the most relevant problems related to the management of acute coronary syndrome and cardiovascular disease during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Svetlana Ratobilska (Riga, Latvia) is a cardiologist and an anesthesiologist. At present she heads the Intensive Care Unit at the Latvian Centre of Cardiology.
